Rune Reading for January
A New Year and new month! I have pulled Runes for this month and what came forward was the first the Rune of Joy (Wunjo), second the Rune of Spiritual Warrior (reversed) (Teiwaz) and finally the Rune of Breakthrough (Dagaz).
The Rune Wunjo - “Joy”
What I feel this Rune means for January is that a shift has occurred and it could be anything you feel that may have been significant or was meaningful to you. Once you have taken time to think about this significant shift it is important to understand what knowledge have you gained from this change. When you have taken the time to absorb and understand what you have gained, learned or obtained from this shift you can express the “joy” of this understanding. Approach with the clarity that has arisen from the knowledge gained.
The Rune Teiwaz (in reverse) is “Spiritual Warrior”
It is interesting that the Rune of Teiwaz follows Joy in reverse because it is about moving too quickly or taking action too quickly which could be ill-timed. That is why taking the time to understand what shift has occurred and how this has affected you, your surroundings and soul self is important. The shift has happened.
What are the results and are you approaching these results with timely thoughts and action. Are you wanting it to go away very quickly? Are you craving a different result and not truly understanding the “why” of the shift? Teiwaz is telling you in reverse to trust what has happened and keep the faith.
The Rune Dagaz is “Breakthrough”
The meaning for January is that change is definitely coming and with it breakthrough! Radical changes are on their way. So, this is the moment! If you seize the moment appropriately then you will change your course. Darkness is moving behind you and light and clarity are moving forward. Of course, when transformation is occurring it is not without some effort or work that needs to be made. There also is trust and faith in working with Spirit or Creator in order to obtain this transformation and moving inward to your soul self.
January’s Rune message is about transformation and breakthrough and along with this shift is joy and understanding. What is also being called for here is trust and faith working alongside Spirit and going within to understand and providing noticings of the way you approach shifts and embrace them as well. Movement and transformation are occurring; work comes with shifts and what is significant during this time is the understanding of them. Trust and have faith in the process.
