Rune Reading for August
August is a month of bridging. It invites us to prepare for transition. It is the eighth month which signifies infinity and balance. It is about the harvest so time to begin collecting and preparing. Has there been abundance in the harvest? Are we preparing for the transition from summer to autumn?
The first Rune is about Separation. This Rune also relates to Othila. Othila is about home, inheritance and separation. Shedding of old skins preparing for transformation. This Rune also relates to property. Is there something that needs to be given up in order to gain something? Since the month of August is about transition, how are we transitioning in our life right now? Are we approaching this transition by staying balanced or are we experiencing imbalance?
The second Rune is Gateway. This Rune is about contemplation. Since the previous Rune is Separation this Rune is saying to contemplate and take your time by connecting with Divine. Do not rush through but do so with thought. It is saying imagine yourself at the gate and ready to walk through and know that you are not walking through alone but with Divine by your side so trust thyself, ask and connect. Ask for guidance. Through any major transformation connect with Divine and Divine beings for guidance, understanding and wisdom.
The third Rune is Standstill. It is indicating that time is needed to slow down and think through what the transition is about, or think of the way to proceed. It is not a time to rush but to be still. There may be a feeling of being tired or drained at this time. What do you need to let go of now or shed in order to allow the transition that needs to occur. It may be difficult to let go, however it is necessary since the next Rune that follows is about beginnings.
The final Rune is about Initiation. Perth is about change. Forces of change are occurring and this Rune is connected to the Phoenix which rises out of the ashes. It is about initiation and renewal. There may be surprises suddenly occurring or the receiving of unexpected rewards. After the passage of separation, being at the gate and standing still this Rune is saying that changes are coming which will be renewal and newness. Some may experience endings but note that beginnings will occur after the endings.
The Runes message for August is about change, endings and transformation. Take the time this month to think through the changes that are occurring or actions that need to be taken in order to enable transformation. Even if endings are occurring, know that initiation and new beginnings will follow. Understand that you are not alone in this transformation. Divine is guiding. We just have to connect with Divine. When you approach the gate do so slowly and with contemplation. Do not rush your decisions and be aware to not hesitate to long for we must walk through the gate eventually and when we do we will deepen our connection to the Self and the Divine. Be kind to yourself and do not fear transformation. It is a time for renewal, initiation and transformation!
