Rune Reading for October
I have pulled Runes for this month and what came forward was first the Rune of Movement (Ehwaz), secondly the Spiritual Warrior Rune (reversed - Teiwaz) and finally the Blank Rune or Unknowable (Odin)
The Rune Ehwaz - “Movement”
This Rune is about progress. Its connection is to the Horse. It is about transition or movement and shifts. Perhaps moving to a new home or shifting attitudes or thoughts. Encouraging the movement of a new life. Wanting to improve. There is a steady development to this movement. The new transition will move gradually however continuously. It is about being steadfast and reviewing the movement and progress which is now or has been happening in your life. Face your future by feeling reassured that progress is being made.
The Rune Teiwaz (in reverse) is “Spiritual Warrior”
It is interesting that the Rune of Teiwaz follows Joy in reverse because it is about moving too quickly or taking action too quickly which could be ill-timed. That is why taking the time to understand what shift has occurred and how this has affected you, your surroundings and soul self is important. The shift has happened. What are the results and are you approaching these results with timely thoughts and action. Are you wanting it to go away very quickly? Are you craving a different result and not truly understanding the “why” of the shift? Teiwaz is telling you in reverse to trust what has happened and keep the faith.
The Blank Rune is “Unknowable” – The Divine – ODIN
With regards to the blank rune there is the beginning and the end. Interchangeable and unknowable. There is potential in the unknowable because there is nothing specific or set. It’s about the full and empty both are constantly cycling in life. The Unknowable brings forward our fears but also is trust in the potential of possibilities. Since the blank rune follows both the rune of movement and reversed spiritual warrior, how are we moving and what thoughts, actions and emotions are we placing in making transitions? The Blank Rune brings forward our courage, trust and faith in Odin or Divine or Universe. There is much that sits in the unknowable such as karma, our actions and consequences.
October is the month of Thanksgiving and a month that ends with the eve reminding us of our lost loved ones, dear ones and acquaintances. October is truly a month of Thanksgiving! Some thoughts on thanksgiving are giving thanks for experiences, journeys, adventures, people who have taught us and who have meant a lot to us. Thank you for our health, our laughter, our ability to be resilient and find the courage within us when needed. Thank you to ODIN, Divine and the Universe for having our backs.
